In
December 2004, we acquired the Bethesda Marriott Suites,
a contemporary all suite hotel, which contains 274
suites. It is located on the I-270 Technology Corridor
and is adjacent to over five million square feet of
Class A office space that is occupied by the
headquarters of several major defense contractors as
well as Marriott International, Inc. It is also located
near the National Institutes of Health. The hotel opened
in April 1990.
Since acquiring the hotel, DiamondRock
conducted a major renovation of the hotel rooms positioning the hotel as the
premier hotel for the vibrant Bethesda - Rockville I-270
market.
The hotel is branded as a Marriott
Suites hotel and is managed by Marriott
International, Inc.
