On November 8, 2006 we acquired the Conrad Chicago, our first luxury hotel, featuring some of the largest guestrooms in Chicago with panoramic views of the Chicago skyline or Lake Michigan.  It resides at the McGraw-Hill Building built between 1928-29 on Michigan Avenue. This prestigious location, distinguished with a Chicago landmark honor in 1997, offers easy access to the Westfield North Bridge shopping corridor, The Loop (business district), and is within walking distance of Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, Navy Pier and The Art Institute of Chicago. Nearby attractions include The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium.

The 311 room, 17-story hotel, opened in 2001 under the Le Meridien flag. It was rebranded the Conrad Chicago after the completion of a $5 million capital improvement plan, which included 500-thread count Pratesi bed linens, L'Occitane bath products, iPod docking stations, Bose 3-2-1 Hi-Fi entertainment systems, 42-inch Plasma screen televisions and wireless internet. The property also features three food and beverage venues, including The Terrace at Conrad (spring and summer), a state-of-the-art fitness center, and more than 12,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.  The hotel is a Hilton-branded property and is managed by Conrad Hotels USA, Inc.
